LITANY SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘HELLO, ANXIETY’

Today, Litany sharpens her introspective, shimmering pop sound with a new single, Hello, Anxiety ft. Kai Bosch. Released via Nettwerk, the track follows a string of successes, including her recent sold-out headline show at London’s The Lower Third and standout singles like Future Us and Jelly Tot. Hello, Anxiety explores the haunting duality of achieving the dream while grappling with the weight of unresolved trauma, revealing how even moments of success can crumble under the strain of crippling anxiety.

In the early years of her career, Litany reveled in the excitement of London’s party scene, fulfilling the dreams she had long envisioned. But as 2019 turned into 2020, she began to face the emotional toll of her success—confronting a growing sense of anxiety, stress, and depression that she could no longer ignore.

In a candid conversation about the song, Litany (aka Beth Cornell) shares the personal struggles that inspired Hello, Anxiety. “Despite living the life I’d always dreamed of—making lifelong friends, writing songs full-time, and attending glamorous London parties—my untreated trauma manifested in crippling anxiety,” she reflects. “It felt like everything I’d worked so hard for came crashing down around me. Again.”

Turning down the volume on the glossy veneer of the music industry, Litany is no stranger to confronting the raw realities of her life. Since launching her career in 2015, she’s worked tirelessly to elevate her project. Her breakthrough moment came with Bedroom, a track that gained widespread attention after being featured in a Wrigley’s Extra commercial, eventually amassing nearly 60 million streams on Spotify. The success was further amplified by a music video directed by national treasure Joe Lycett for the single Uh Huh.
