ELLE CHANTE RETURNS WITH POWERFUL NEW SINGLE ‘HEAL ME’
Elle Chante unveils her latest single, Heal Me, a raw and deeply personal track from her forthcoming self-produced EP. The song serves as a powerful response to trauma, reflecting on the failures of the healthcare system.
“I wrote Heal Me to process my time in hospital receiving cancer treatment on the NHS. I was left feeling angry and vulnerable. As disabled people, we don’t often feel heard, but I wanted to take back my power,” Chante explains.
Born in London and raised in the West Midlands, Chante has faced significant challenges with both her physical and mental health. However, her resilience and creativity have led her to remarkable achievements beyond music. She has collaborated on various theatre and visual performance projects, including Accessible Dreamscapes, an immersive musical experience commissioned by Unlimited and The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. The project, which was also performed at London’s Southbank Centre, offered audiences a powerful glimpse into the disabled experience through music and dance.
Chante’s work extends far beyond her own artistry. She is an advocate for disabled artists, serving as an ambassador for Attitude is Everything and the Featured Artists Coalition, and is also a co-founder of Radical Body, an organization dedicated to making careers in the arts more accessible for disabled individuals.
With Heal Me, Elle Chante not only delivers a poignant musical statement but also continues her mission to bring much-needed representation to the industry—one powerful song at a time.
