RAY LOZANO UNVEILS NEW SINGLE ‘I DON’T CARE’

Rising future soul artist Ray Lozano has released her latest single, I DON’T CARE, offering a glimpse into her forthcoming album SILK&SORROW, set to drop on March 28 via Melting Pot Music.

Blending unfiltered harmonies with a steady R&B groove, I DON’T CARE showcases Lozano’s signature fusion of raw, free-flowing soul and intricate experimental production. The track’s glitchy sound design and offbeat textures provide a fitting backdrop for its lyrical exploration of modern digital fatigue—highlighting the paradox of being hyper-connected yet emotionally detached.

“I DON’T CARE digs into the apathy and disconnection of a generation lost in digital chaos,” Lozano explains. “It reflects the monotony of everyday life and that collective sense of emptiness we all feel sometimes. But hey—who really cares, right?”

The single follows a string of previously released tracks, including KIKI, HiYA, and DRAGON, all of which will be featured on SILK&SORROW. With this sophomore album, Lozano takes her lo-fi, future soul sound to new heights, crafting a bold, playful, and deeply introspective body of work.

A soundtrack for late-night introspection, SILK&SORROW delves into life’s daily contradictions, embracing both connection and detachment, joy and melancholy. As its title suggests, SILK&SORROW juxtaposes comfort with emotional intensity, serving as a reminder that softness and struggle often coexist.

Lozano’s approach isn’t about offering solutions—it’s about embracing the chaos. SILK&SORROW doesn’t chase trends or strive for perfection. Instead, it leans into life’s raw edges, transforming fleeting vulnerability into something universal, visceral, and deeply resonant.
