SPILL TAB RELEASES ‘PINK LEMONADE’ SINGLE + VIDEO
Los Angeles-based French-Korean artist Spill Tab has released her latest single, “PINK LEMONADE,” marking the start of an exciting new chapter. Following her recent signing with Because Music—the label behind acts like Rahim Redcar, Justice, and Metronomy—Spill Tab is gearing up for her debut album next year. The single arrives as her first new music since 2022’s KLEPTO EP and follows her time supporting Sabrina Carpenter on the Emails I Can’t Send tour and a standout performance at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase.
“PINK LEMONADE” showcases Spill Tab’s signature fusion of angsty lyricism, crystalline melodies, grungy guitar riffs, and jazzy beats. Reflecting the chaos and uncertainty of early adulthood, the track brims with inventive sonic textures and introspection.
“This song came out of a chaotic day at John’s back-house studio,” says Claire Chicha, the real name behind Spill Tab. “We started with a 40-minute jam session, chopped it up, and built the track from there—adding quirky guitar lines and unconventional drums. It’s fitting because it mirrors the song’s theme: feeling disoriented in life, anxious, disconnected from my body, and wanting to sink into the couch and escape.”
Raised by a French-Algerian composer father and a Korean pianist mother, Chicha grew up steeped in music at her parents’ post-production studio, absorbing jazz, classical, and eclectic influences. Her formative years, spent between LA, Thailand, and Paris, shaped a sound that blends raw guitar confessionals with pop anthems. With “PINK LEMONADE,” Spill Tab steps confidently into her next artistic phase, offering listeners a glimpse of what’s to come on her highly anticipated debut album.
