DÉYYESS RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘IF I WAS UR BOY’
Rising star Déyyess has just released her brand-new single, “if i was ur boy,” an effortlessly catchy indie-rock track that has quickly positioned her as one to watch in 2025. The song serves as a perfect preview for her first-ever headline show at London’s The Lower Third on February 20, a date already nearing a sell-out. The single also drops just one day ahead of her debut EP, Claire, set to release on February 21 via Common Knowledge.
Déyyess’ upcoming EP has already sparked significant buzz online, particularly surrounding its title track “Claire.” The song captures the essence of navigating complex relationships, with lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners, especially those familiar with the emotional intricacies of modern “situationships.” This theme of unrequited love runs throughout the EP, which explores the highs and lows of queer relationships through the lens of an artist finding strength in vulnerability.
Ahead of her EP release, Déyyess will take the stage at The Lower Third, a venue that was upgraded from the original 80-capacity room at The Forge due to overwhelming demand. The new venue will allow her to perform for an audience of 250, a reflection of her rapidly growing fanbase and increasing demand.
Originally from Canterbury, Kent, and now based in London, Déyyess draws musical inspiration from icons like Lana Del Rey, Halsey, and Lady Gaga. With a sound that blends indie rock with emotionally raw lyrics, her music has already captured the attention of fans who appreciate her candid approach to love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.
