French singer-songwriter Clara Le Bouar returns with 12 Mai, a deeply personal and emotionally raw single that transforms heartache into a stunning display of poetic lyricism and delicate, haunting vocals.

The Paris-based artist reflects on the quiet devastation of watching someone drift away, exploring the painful tension between holding on and letting go. “‘12 Mai is about refusing to grieve and feeling emptier by clinging to what once was,” Clara explains. Loneliness threads through the track, from the fragile admission I try not to hide, I don’t feel strong when I’m by your side to the heartbreaking realization You’re always wrong and I’m never right, capturing the miscommunication between two people struggling to be heard yet failing to connect.

Written in a moment of emotional exhaustion, the song came together effortlessly. “I often joke that I ‘blacked out’ writing this song,” Clara shares. “What you hear today is the track in its first-day form, with my vocals recorded in one take.”

With 12 Mai, Clara Le Bouar solidifies herself as a rising voice in introspective, soul-stirring songwriting.
